The two award-winning packaging was made in partnership with Grupo Boticário.
Two packages from Aptar Beauty, a global leader in dispensing packaging solutions, were recognized by the Great Packaging Cases Award, which encourages and values the pursuit of excellence in Brazilian packaging that has achieved positive results for the company and the end consumer. The winners were revealed at a ceremony held on Tuesday, October 15.
One of the winners was the lid from the Arbo line, from Grupo Boticário, made from polypropylene originating from renewable raw material, obtained from waste cooking oil and fats, collected from food industries and restaurants and which replaced oil of fossil origin. This disruptive partnership was developed in conjunction with Aptar Beauty and Borealis.
The other award-winning packaging was the pilot action “Venda a Bulk” (Bulk Sales), also by Grupo Boticário, through which customers can buy only the liquid Floratta Blue, at a discount, by taking an empty bottle of any perfume from the brand to the store. New bottles were filled at a refill station without removing the spray valve, ensuring the quality of the perfume.
The in-store refill station machine was developed by Aptar Beauty in exclusive partnership with Techniplast, offering an environmentally responsible solution for fragrances with crimped bottles. In addition to the pleasant, precise and easy experience for the end customer, the technology is provided by smart caps, which automatically stop the flow when the fill level is reached.
The act of recharging becomes a crucial moment towards companies’ sustainability goals. “Our team is continually working on ways to achieve our sustainability goals and reduce the impact of our products on the local and global environment. The awards are recognition that Aptar is always looking for innovative, environmentally sustainable and commercially viable solutions for its products,” says Aptar Beauty Latin America President Emerson Gambera.
